Lord,
take this day
and all it contains -
its troubles
and disappointments,
its wounds
both fresh and remembered,
its glimpses of beauty and joy,
contentment and hope,
and use it to mold me
in the likeness of Jesus,
my beloved Savior,
Your Son.
Touch the eyes of my heart
that I may see Your purpose
at work in all things, the
mundane and challenging, the
things that bring a smile
to my face and
stir longings of Home.
For this is the day You have made.
I will rejoice and be glad in it.
